Phillip showed prejudice toward Timothy at the beginning of The Cay. Thankfully, Phillip realized that Timothy’s color was not what defined him. Have you ever been discriminated against because you were different? How did this make you feel? What did it teach you about discriminating against other people?

Hey Mrs.Cooper I’ve never been discriminated but I’ll tell you how I would feel if I was. I would get really upset and cry I’m very sensitive. Nobody should have prejudice feelings about one another. They’re a person same as you and people should imagine themselves being in they’re shoes. They wouldn’t like being called names. God made everybody special in there own way not to discriminate people because of there color or the way they talk or there clothes.

i have not, but last year Emoni, moved to, NYC & i was soooo upset. @ the begining of the year, i was like ‘ i don’t want to be her friend’, but once i met her,i was like ‘WOW,i can’t belive what i was thinking’ . she was an amazing friend.:)

I think that the predjudice should stop right here right now. I am so glad that Timothy slapped Phillip, maybe it will knock some sense into him.
